The Los Angeles City Human Relations Commission would like to extend an invitation to join us for a special conversation/dialogue with members of the Los Angeles Indigenous Community and Italian American Community to discuss the Motion introduced by Council Member Mitch O'Farrell that proposes to establish an Indigenous People's Day Celebration.
This motion (Item 15-1343) was introduced in November 2015 and calls on both the Los Angeles City Relations Commission and the Los Angeles City/County Native American Indian Commission to report on the historical importance and cultural impact of establishing Indigenous Peoples Day as a legal City Holiday.
