October 4, Sunday - Columbus Day Celebration at Bowers Museum- The Italian Cultural Arts Council presents Columbus Day with an Italian Heritage Celebration. The Columbus Day Ceremony starts at 10AM. Featuring a color guard, anthems, Valeria Rumori, director Italian Cultural Institute, the Hon. Consul General of Italy, Antonio Verde, a wreath ceremony at the Christopher Columbus Monument and an Italian lunch.
The afternoon program will include free Italian Ices, live musical performances with Italian traditional songs from Italy. There will also be a marionette puppet show in the Norma Kershaw Auditorium beginning at 1:00 PM, great entertainment for children. Something for everyone! (Non-Members $10) Free Italian Ices.
