As the strong and bright voice of tenor Pasquale Esposito rings out or the familiar scents of Italy's cuisine waft through the air at the fourth annual Festa Italiana, people will be enveloped in Italian culture. And that's the goal, according to organizers. The festa, which starts at 10 a.m. May 22 at the Lodi Grape Festival Grounds at 413 East Lockeford St., is "A Celebration of Everything Italian."
Italian grandmothers and mothers will attend and reminisce about their childhood, said Andrea Songey-Neff with the Pacific Italian Alliance. They'll remember eating the food, hearing those songs and playing the games that will be a feature of the event.
