The third annual Carnevale Fantastico at Blue Rock Springs Park in Vallejo was supposed to be this weekend. But it’s not. Presumably because of a problem not presented to Italians in the fine renaissance period circa 1500 — parking — the show won’t go on. At least this year, according to co-promoter Dalia Vidor.
Vidor and Molly Drew decided to cancel the popular event in March after learning that Carnevale lost its main parking lot at Solano Community College Vallejo campus when the school added Saturday classes. “Carnevale Fantastico is taking a break this year to regroup. There are a couple of things we need to figure out,” Vidor said.
