San Jose residents hungry for a taste of Italy can get it without leaving town when the 37th annual Italian Family Festa returns next weekend to History Park San Jose. Sponsored by the Italian-American Heritage Cultural Foundation, the event has been a community staple for decades, drawing thousands of locals eager to take a shot at bocce ball, grape-stomping or dancing the folkloric tarantella.
“Our mission statement is to preserve and promote the Italian heritage and culture in the Santa Clara Valley,” foundation vice president Ken Borelli said in a statement. “That is why we are proud to bring so much of the rich and vibrant Italian culture to Santa Clara Valley.”
