In collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles, the National Italian American Foundation, and COM.IT.ES, and under the auspices of The Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles, the Downtown Art Center (DAC) Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of Mario Canali: New Works, on Saturday June 15th, 2013.

In his third solo exhibition at DAC Gallery in Los Angeles, artist Mario Canali presents an evolution of his work in larger-scale paintings on canvas developed in his Laurel Canyon studio.

Mario Canali is a visionary. His representations deepen explorations into the complexity, beauty and discrepancy of the contemporary human being. His goal in painting is to incorporate an emotional dimension to the spatial dimensions; it is emotion that shapes his human hybrids, their uncommon behaviors, and the evocative landscapes in which they exist.
