Domenico Monteforte, who gave a much appreciated exhibition here at the IIC in summer 2012, is back in San Francisco. This time, the Tuscan painter will turn one of our galleries into a painter's studio, allowing guests to see him at work and then exhibiting his creations on our walls as they are completed. Guests will have the rare chance to meet the painter personally and to witness the birth and development of works of art.
The artist will also create a painting entitled That's Opera! which will portray some of the major operatic figures who have in some way been associated with San Francisco Opera – to whom the painting will be donated for exhibition once it is completed.
