In observance of Italian Heritage Month, San Francisco's North Beach Public Library is putting on a stellar series of events. With many thanks to the engaged leadership of Ms. Bernadette Festa, the library is orchestrating public engagement that recognizes the vast and rich cultural influence the Italians have had in this area.
The program of events this month has included a walking tour of historic North Beach, a workshop to learn how to conduct family research of Italian ancestors, cooking classes and literary discussions.
