After several years at the Guadalupe River Park in downtown San Jose, this month's Italian Family Festa will be at a new address -- History Park at Kelley Park. Festa Director Joe Rizzi said there were many factors to consider when choosing the new location for the Italian-American Heritage Foundation's 36th annual celebration, which is taking place Aug. 27 and 28.
"We chose this venue for its beauty, shade and space, but it was the historic buildings surrounded by cozy, tree-lined streets that really sealed the deal for us," he said. "I know our patrons are going to love the wonderful neighborhood ambience which connects all the diverse cultures in the Valley and serves as a reminder we are one 'la famiglia'."
