The Italian American Police Society of New Jersey held its annual holiday party for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of NJ. Truckloads of toys and gifts were distributed to a record number of at risk children from this program at this year's party by member police officers and volunteers.
Members and volunteers also served pizza, sandwiches, soda, cake and cookies to more than 300 and a face painter, Mickie and Minnie were on hand to make the day a huge hit, Thanks to Newark PD for arranging for Batman to attend with the Batmobile. Thank you to everyone that made the day a huge success! It is nice to see how police officers volunteer to serve those in need in our communities.
