
For 23 years now, the Italian Day festival in Bruno Melini Park has served a dual purpose — help raise money for the Italian Cultural Foundation of South Jersey's year-round activities and give the local community a chance to celebrate its Italian heritage.
Under a sunny sky Sunday, more than 1,000 people turned out to enjoy the host of offerings at the annual tradition, which ranged from food to live music entertainment to kiddie rides.
