Everyone will be "Italian for a Day" at the Cedar Grove UNICO's La Festa Italiana, Friday through Sunday, Sept. 27-29. The Italian-American service organization will kick off a new year of activities with the festival. There will be free live entertainment, rides and other activities, as well as Italian food, beer and wine. Tickets will be sold for a 50/50 drawing — last year's winner brought home more than $2,000.
Proceeds from the festival will once again go to the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, The Jimmy V. Foundation, local scholarship programs and local first responder organizations.
"We are extremely proud of this event, which has come to bring pride to our community, while raising money for great causes," said Cedar Grove UNICO Vice President Pat DeFrancisci.
