The Undo's Upper Ohio Valley Italian Heritage Festival is celebrating 38 years. The pandemic put the fest on hiatus in 2020, but kicked off, unofficially, Wednesday evening with its traditional scholarship and awards dinner. Nearly 100 people from the Italian American Club came together to drink and feast before the long-standing festival begins again on Friday.
"Just a lot of good food, wine, and afterwards, some nice Italian music and dancing,” Board President Michelle Fabbro said. "The kickoff dinner which is in honor of our Italian American of the Year Dewey Guida and we will be introducing him and honoring him."
