In 2013, the Holy Rosary Parish celebrated its 100th Anniversary. Join us to learn more about the fascinating role Italian American women have had within the church and the greater Washington, D.C. community. Mary Brown, Ph.D., author of An Italian American Community of Faith: Holy Rosary in Washington, D.C., will lead the conversation and showcase items from the church archives.
Mary Brown is an archivist and adjunct professor at MaryMount Manhattan College. She also serves as archivist at the Center for Migration Studies, a think tank that finds solutions to immigration issues that are consistent with Catholic ethical teaching on immigration. She holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University. Refreshments will be served!
