
The Ellwood City Italian American Heritage Foundation met Friday for its monthly meeting. President Barbara Mastropietro called the meeting to order and recognized founder Gene Morabito. Morabito offered the prayer and Ray Venezie led the Pledge of Allegiance. The group recognized John Biondi, Bob Morabito and Cosmo Morabito, its original members. A welcome was extended to four potential members.
Veterans will be honored Sept. 2 at Legion Park on Fourth Street and Spring Avenue at 10 a.m. ECIAHF is sending a delegation of World War II veterans Guy Prestia and Sam Teolis Sr., plus Bob and Cosmo Morabito, Ray Venezie, Anita Chaffin and Lu Iannantuono. A photographer will be present.
