From Galileo to giant telescopes: a journey through space and time

On the occasion of the 450th Anniversary of Galileo's birth the Embassy of Italy & the Georgetown University Italian Research Institute cordially invite you to a conference and discussion with Adriano Fontana (INAF, National Institute of Astro-Physics).
The conference is a tale of three nested 'histories'. It is also a history of the close relationship and collaboration between the US and Italy in the development of cutting-edge technologies for the most advanced telescopes in the world.
