Italian passport for former US Ambassador to Italy Ronald Spogli

Former US Ambassador to Italy Ronald Spogli received today his Italian passport from Italian Ambassador to the US Armando Varricchio in a ceremony at Villa Firenze in Washington DC. Ambassador Spogli's family is originally from the town of Gubbio, near Perugia, in the Umbria region of Italy.
Ronald Spogli exemplifies the outstanding contribution of many Americans with Italian origin to the relations between our two countries.
