Rehoboth Beach and Greve-in-Chianti, Tuscany, signed a Sister Cities agreement in 2010. Rehoboth Beach Sister Cities Association members and interested citizens visited the Italian city and formed a successful rapport and friendship.
Each year since 2010, there have been exchange visits: Delawareans to Greve in 2012 and 2014 to celebrate Verrazzano Day and the dedication of the Rehoboth Beach/American garden in Tuscany April 17; and the mayor and staff members of Greve to Rehoboth Beach in 2011 and 2013, the year in which the Italian Garden of the Navigators was dedicated.
