The city will have to do without one of its most popular traditions this year, though organizers are confident it will return in 2021. La Festa Italiana at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church will not be held for multiple reasons, organizer Frank DiGeronimo has told the city.

The decision on whether to hold the summer festival was still up in the air the night before DiGeronimo spoke to the City Council on Jan. 28, but after a conference call with other organizers a decision was made that it wouldn’t be possible, he said.
