The Essex County Board of County Commissioners have honored a doctor of Italian heritage at Clara Maass Medical Center as an outstanding citizen. Frank Mazzarella, MD, a physician and executive leader at the medical center, was feted at a virtual event Oct. 5 as part of the commissioners’ celebration of Italian Heritage Month Celebration.
Mazzarella is a board-certified internal medicine physician who currently serves as the Chief Continuum of Care Officer at Clara, where he oversees the successful transfer of patients to services needed throughout the continuum of care, up to and including discharge and post-treatment and care.
