The New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera has announced that in March the “Bring the Family to the Opera” initiative will resume. This well-received program introduces children and the extended family to live, fully-staged performances of grand opera, as the composer intended. The program offers 40% off special ticket rates on $55 and $45 tickets with a promotion code (TURANDOT) on March 8, 9, and 10 for the company’s upcoming performance of Puccini’s Turandot” on April 22, 2018.
Per a press release, Lucine Amara, the Artistic director noted, “Verismo Opera’s highly successful Bring the Family to the Opera introduces parents and their children to live opera and classical music. ‘Turandot’ features principal singers and the Verismo Opera Chorus singing in Italian with English supertitles provided. Youngsters are thrilled to see the cast perform in period costumes on the stage accompanied by a live orchestra. We want children and their families to experience quality, affordable operatic performances.”
