When Ovvio Osteria opens Aug. 6, it will be the latest restaurant to bow this year in Halstead Square at Dunn Loring Metro.

The Halstead, which is a mixed-use development that includes three separate apartment concepts, has seen a lot of retail activity in recent months. Blackfinn Ameripub, an American restaurant and bar, Jimmy John's sub shop and Dunkin' Donuts have joined Lost Dog Cafe, which opened last year. Passion Fin, an Asian fusion restaurant, Crave Frozen Yogurt and Dickey's Barbecue are all slated to open in the next few months.
