It’s official: October is now Italian American Heritage Month in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania! ISDA member Stephanie Longo and Rep. Kyle Mullins (PA-112) brought this historic occasion to fruition. This proclamation recognizes the numerous contributions of Italian Americans to the state’s history, as well as NEPA’s local history.
The Pennsylvania House of Representatives voted in favor of the resolution this week. Mullins was enthusiastic about the idea as his wife is Italian American, and he has close ties to the local Italian community. Thank you, Stephanie and Kyle, for living the ISDA mission, which calls all Italian Americans to preserve and promote our storied heritage.
