Rediscover your Italian roots next Sunday. The Pequannock Township chapter of UNICO National is holding an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Senior House to demonstrate what the organization is all about, and to recruit new members.
With almost 80 current members, the Pequannock chapter is one of the biggest and most active, said Dan Leva, a board member of the chapter. "This is one of our biggest events of the year," Leva said. For many years, Pequannock UNICO has held a heritage day, but beginning last year, the group expanded it, inviting members of the Pequannock community and people from nearby towns.
