Festa Italiana for 2018 will be Aug. 9, 10 and 11, and the plans are well underway to make the event as popular as always. The planning and organization is a year-long process, with plans moving forward at a steady pace. Mary Ann Colestro, secretary of Festa Italiana, explained that the festival’s entertainment schedule is mostly booked, although there is room for additional groups and booking is still an ongoing process.

“We try to keep entertainment as local as possible. We get a good following for local music, so this is something we have done for the last few years,” she said. Live entertainment for the event includes Second Act, We Speak Canadian, Jim Ronan and Witch Hazel, who will close out the festival.
