We did an interview with two Americans from Molise, Raymond and Madeline Bernero, from Virginia to Campobasso for the Council of Molisan people in the World. Here's what they told us.
Raymond, where does your family come from?
My father's father was born in Liguria, and also his wife. My mother's father was born in Roccamandolfi. His family's name is D'Andrea. They moved about 1895, but I don't know the right year, they didn't come at the same time. They were born in Italy and then emigrated.
