The Father Vincent Monella Center of Italian Culture at 133 Fairview Ave. will become property of the township soon. The Village Board of Trustees recently voted to accept the donation of the property, with Village President Sheena Collum noting the real estate asset is valued just above $2 million and is a tax-exempt property.
The gift is from the board of trustees of the club, and “their intention is that the manner in which the Italian club was created _ which was cultural and community focus _ be continued on,” said Collum.
