In classic Hoboken style, Frank Sinatra was the soundtrack Sunday afternoon as locals walked Jefferson Street to grab some of the classic favorite food and play carnival games over the weekend at the 109th annual St. Ann’s Italian Festival. The festival, which celebrates Saint Ann, is a foodie’s delight, and it also featured brisk sales of clothing, jewelry and more.
Lenny Testa has been attending the festival for 25 years, and years ago he worked at the beer garden. Despite having moved away, he said he will always make the trip back for the festival. “I’ll come back as long as I am alive," he said. "I want to see all my old friends.” He was joined by his partner, Cynthia Young, who he met at the festival 15 years ago while they were both working the festival.
