Legendary crooner Tony Bennett is returning to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center. The 91-year-old 18-time Grammy Award winner plans to take the stage at 8 p.m. June 30. Known as one of the legends of jazz and popular music, Bennett served during World War II before developing a career that spanned more than half a century. He has announced another concert tour across the United States and Europe.

Bennett previously performed in the Lehigh Valley at least two other times -- in 2011 at Lehigh University's Zoellner Arts Center in Bethlehem and in July 2013 at the Sands. He was forced to postpone a show this past May at the Sands due to a minor illness. Born in Queens, New York, Bennett was drafted into the U.S. Army, serving on the front lines until April 1945 and was involved in the liberation of a Nazi concentration camp at Landsberg, Germany.
