A City of Trenton legend has passed. Bobby “Bobby V” Vitella, 88, an Italian beau brummell who deserved a reality television show based in Hollywood or Miami Beach as Maitre d for the stars, died on July 24. His passing ended connections to an era of Chambersburg flamboyance when the Italian section of Trenton delivered glitz, glamour and famous restaurants.
Any fine dining establishment that showcased Bobby V holding court at the door, could count on devoted clientele and a show. Bobby V flashed smiles, rings, watches and outrageous glamour. He sipped liqueurs and liquors from top shelves and enjoyed interactions with friends and associates from even higher places.
