Bloomfield Mayor Michael Venezia was recognized at the annual Essex County Italian Heritage Celebration on Monday afternoon. "It's a real honor, especially since I admire my other two honorees" Venezia said in an interview with TAPinto Bloomfield. Venezia's fellow honorees were Eleanor Guarino, a community activist in Belleville, and Carmel Poetuese, a community activist in West Orange.
Montclair Mayor Robert Jackson praised Venezia for his hard work and dedication to the township of Bloomfield, before presenting him with an honorary plaque. "Michael is an outstanding public servant who embodies a lot of wisdom and vision," Jackson told the audience.
