The New Jersey Italian Heritage Commission (NJIHC) is proud to announce the appointment of Vincent Maione as its new Chairman. A highly respected leader and advocate for preserving and promoting Italian American culture, Maione brings a wealth of experience and a passionate commitment to advancing the mission of the Commission.
Maione, a long-time Commissioner originally appointed in 2012 by Governor Chris Christie, has played an integral role in fostering appreciation for Italian heritage across the state. Maione emigrated from Naples, Italy in 1964 with his mom, dad and sister, Angela. They located to Hammonton, NJ were his parents currently live.
With a long time, distinguished career as the Regional President for Atlantic City Electric, Maione has demonstrated a deep dedication to community engagement and cultural preservation. Maione was a two-term councilperson in Hammonton, NJ, is a present board member of NJ American Water, a former board member of the NJ Utility Association, NJ State Chamber of Commerce, Choose NJ and the NJ Public Television Network. Maione began his consulting company, ESM Professional Consulting, LLC after retirement from Atlantic City Electric. He presently supports various clients in the utility/energy construction and engineering sectors.
“It is an honor to lead the New Jersey Italian Heritage Commission as we continue our work to celebrate and share the rich contributions of Italian Americans,” said Maione. “I look forward to collaborating with the Commission, our community partners, and future generations to ensure that our vibrant heritage remains an integral part of New Jersey’s cultural fabric.”
The NJIHC is committed to preserving and promoting Italian heritage through educational initiatives, cultural programs, and community events. Under Maione’s leadership, the Commission aims to expand its reach and deepen its impact, building on its legacy of celebrating Italian American achievements and fostering cross-cultural understanding through public educational programs.
As Chairman, Maione will oversee the Commission’s strategic initiatives, including educational outreach, and the promotion of Italian American culture through events and partnerships across the state.
The New Jersey Italian Heritage Commission invites the community to join in welcoming Vincent Maione as Chairman and looks forward to an exciting new chapter under his leadership.
