On January 24, 2022, as part of our commemorations for International Holocaust Remembrance Day 2022, the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute invite you to an online conversation with Edith Bruck.
Edith Bruck is a holocaust survivor whose adopted home is Italy. Born to a poor Jewish family in Tiszabercel, Hungary, Bruck was deported to Auschwitz when she was only 12 years old. While Bruck’s parents and one brother died in the camps, Edith and her sister Eliz survived and were liberated in 1945.
