Danilo Bonazza has spent the last decade building Art & Mosaics into one of New Jersey’s most exclusive luxury services. His custom pool installations command prices that start at $200,000 and up with waiting lists that stretch across three continents. “People don’t understand what they’re buying until they see it,” Bonazza said during a recent interview “This isn’t decoration. This is architecture that will outlast the house.”
Born in Ravenna, Italy, Bonazza grew up surrounded by some of the world’s most significant mosaic art. The city’s 6th-century Byzantine churches provided his first classroom, their gold-leafed walls teaching lessons in color, light, and permanence that would shape his career.“In Ravenna, you don’t study mosaics from books,” Bonazza explained. “You live with them. You see how they survive 1,500 years while everything else crumbles.”
