Friends and family are mourning the death of Tony Prisco, whose legacy they said will live on at the grocery store he and his family have continued to operate in Aurora.
Prisco, 89, passed away from natural causes Sunday at home. Born in Aurora June 16, 1927, he was the owner, operator, and meat cutter for Prisco's Fine Foods, Inc., which has been family operated for 90 years. The family business began in 1926 when his parents, Tony and Mary Prisco, opened a neighborhood grocery store that was located on Bishop Avenue. The store served as both their home and place of business.
