The Italian-American Cultural Club is finalizing plans for its annual fall fundraiser, “Festa Del Vino,” which will be held Nov. 9 at St. Florian Hall in Wintersville. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the wine tasting event starts at 6 p.m. A variety of 16 Italian wines, authentic Italian foods and Italian biscotti will be featured. The entertainment will be provided by several past winners of the Valley’s Got Talent competition winners through an event hosted by the Ohio Valley Youth Network under the direction of Bobbyjon Bauman, president.

The cost is $35 per ticket. Tickets can be purchased at Pittera’s Pizza, Scaffidi’s Restaurant or at the door. There will be a silent auction, an Italian (Chinese) auction and a “pot-of-gold.” Among the prizes are Pittsburgh Pirates tickets, Wheeling Nailers tickets and a Steelers golf bag. The fundraiser supports scholarships awarded yearly by the club in addition to Campo Italiano, a summer camp that annually teaches more than 100 children about the Italian culture.
