Eskenazi Museum of Art will showcase Giambattista and Domenico Tiepolo's master drawings from the Anthony J. Moravec Collection from October 1.
12 New Testament drawings by Domenico Tiepolo, from among the now scattered 320 drawings, will be on display. Tiepolo's drawings are regarded as the most extensive and sustained visual representation of this theme by any artist. They are a unique combination of Biblical and mythological elements, and the Eskenazi Museum is now the third largest repository of the New Testament series. The exhibition also features works by Domenico's father Giambattista Tiepolo.
