Girard's Mount Carmel Festival has been a summer staple for decades. It's also a family tradition that's been passed down to generations in more ways than one. In honor of her late grandfather and father, Rene Esposito and her family continue to keep their legacy alive by spearheading the annual Mount Carmel Festival.
"We knew when my father passed away if there's anything he would want us to do, was to do our best to keep this running. And we're still here," she said. The festival started with Rene's grandfather back in the 1950s. It fizzled out for a few years until her father, Ray, brought it back.
