Rosa Lappano said Guerin College Preparatory High School holds special meaning to her, especially around St. Joseph's Day. Lappano said she's a Guerin graduate and an Italian immigrant. "I want the traditions to continue from when I went to Guerin," she said. Lappano, along with Guerin students, alumni and friends, attended their annual St. Joseph's Day table on March 11. The table was held at Guerin College Prep and was presented by the school's Italian Club.
"We're a small group, but we make ourselves known," said Alexis Krueger, the Italian Club vice president and Lappano's niece. Krueger said many restaurants, including Armand's Pizzeria, Basilico Ristorante and Pescatore Palace, donated food to the table.
