
Holy Week is central to the spiritual lives of Italians on both sides of the Atlantic, and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and Our Lady of Pompeii are playing their parts from Palm Sunday (April 5) to Easter Sunday (April 12).
THE OUR LADY OF MT. CARMEL PARISH & SHRINE (Melrose Park) will celebrate Mass in Italian at 10:30 a.m. and masses in English at 7:45 a.m. and noon on Palm Sunday; Mass in English with the washing of the feet at 6 p.m. and visitation of seven churches by bus at 7:30 p.m. on Holy Thursday (reservations only, cost to be determined); a solemn liturgy in English at noon, a Rosary at 6 p.m. and a solemn liturgy in Italian at 7 p.m. on Good Friday; an Easter Vigil in English at 8 p.m. on Holy Saturday; and Mass in Italian at 10:30 a.m. and masses in English at 7:45 a.m. and noon on Easter Sunday.
