An "American Idol" and the daughter of an entertainment legend are the featured performers marking the return of Festa Italiana to Freedom Hill County Park in Sterling Heights on the weekend of July 19-21.
It's a big homecoming for the popular ethnic festival, which traditionally had been held at Freedom Hill, but was forced to find a new home when the park closed a few years ago due to budget cuts. Last year, the festival was conducted on the streets of downtown Mount Clemens.
