For a second straight year, Lyric Opera has turned to a staple of Italian comic opera, Rossini's "The Barber of Seville," as the basis for a show designed to introduce children ages 5-10, and their elders, to the joys of opera.
The result was "The Family Barber," a fluffy and amusing entertainment the company presented Saturday afternoon at the Civic Opera House as part of its Lyric Unlimited community engagement initiative.
