Michael Davanzo is a quiet man. Through his distinguished career as a teacher and athletic director, his service as Rotary district governor, and his leadership roles with the Medina County Historical Society, the Friends of the Medina County District Library and the Parish Council of St. Francis Catholic Church, Mike has quietly and efficiently led and served.
Born in Youngstown to second-generation immigrants from Italy, Mike and his family moved to Boardman when Mike was 5 years old. He graduated from Boardman High School in 1969 and went on to Kent State University -- where he was a freshman during the 1970 National Guard shootings.
