Fr. Arcangelo Manzi, a priest at Cleveland's Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Parish, has died from coronavirus, his order confirmed Tuesday afternoon. According to the Mercedian Friars, Manzi passed away "following a great struggle" with the disease. The parish shared the order's post on Facebook.
"We ask your prayers, dear friends, for our dear brother," the friars wrote. "Please remember his family and our religious community in your prayers during this time." According to the Diocese of Cleveland, Manzi was ordained in 1964 and had been serving as both parochial vicar at Mount Carmel and as a chaplain at Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital since August of 2015.
