Raymond Mazzarelli passed away on June 18, 2017, in the comfort of his home. He was 89 years old. Ray was born on April 1, 1928, the son of Amedeo and Amalia (Copen) Mazzarelli. He received his education in Kenosha area schools and on July 19, 1947, at Holy Rosary Parish, he married childhood friend and Bradford HS class of 1946 sweetheart Lorraine (Grbavac) Mazzarelli, ultimately the mother of their seven children. Lorraine preceded him in death in October 2001 after 55 years of marriage.
After her passing, he married Mildred (Grasser) Mazzarelli, who also preceded him in death in September 2015. At the early age of 15, Ray began working for Kenosha Unified School System. He held several positions and ended his 23 year tenure there as Manager of Warehousing. In 1977, he joined Outboard Marine Corporation as General Supervisor of their new international warehouse in Beloit, WI, moving his family to Janesville to do so. He returned to Kenosha after retiring from OMC in January 1991.
