The Italian-American Veterans Post 1 Auxiliary of Lorain has donated $3,000 to the Valor Home of Lorain County to help sponsor a room for a homeless veteran in it's transitional housing.
Much of the funds that the Valor Home receives are from grants, donations and fundraisers.
Dan Gillotti, vice chairman of the Valor Home committee, received the check and said that the funds will pay for everything in the room. He said the bedrooms will have a bed, desk, chair and more.
