In anticipation of Third Coast Baroque’s upcoming Vivica & Vivaldi concert series, internationally renowned mezzo-soprano Vivica Genaux sits down with TCB Artistic Director Rubén Dubrovsky to discuss the lesser-known but highly virtuosic gems of Antonio Vivaldi’s vocal repertoire. Vivaldi’s output included much more than his ever-popular “Four Seasons” with compositions ranging from solo cantatas to fully realized operatic productions. In an open discussion between singer and conductor, this Baroque icon’s vocal writing gets some well-deserved attention.
