The Brascugli family is getting together for a family reunion this weekend in Eveleth, MN. It’s where Nicola Brascugli settled when he came over from Italy, back in 1899. The family told us he built the first brick house in Eveleth. He worked in the mines, like many others who immigrated here.
This year, the family from the states will get to meet Fabrizio Brascugli, who is part of the family who didn’t leave Italy. Fabrizio told us this is the first time in the states and Eveleth for him. “It’s a lovely city. I like the space,” he shared. “I’m very excited.”
