Ciao paesani! We have scheduled our next meeting for Sunday, February 8th. This will be a combination of a meeting and a celebration! We will be discussing the book project, a St. Joseph's Day meet up, and we will also connect with friends and relatives in Italy via Skype. We will have a drawing for door prizes and a 50/50 cash raffle. The lucky winner of the cash raffle receives half of the "pot" (cash collected from ticket sales) and the club receives the other half. On February 1, 1951 Campofelice di Fitalia became an independent town. Up until that time it was considered a "frazione" of the larger town of Mezzojuso. Please come help us celebrate the 64th birthday of our little town!

The cost for lunch is $15 for adults and $7 for children 10 and under. Drinks are not included. Please feel free to bring friends and family with you. The more the merrier! Here are the details for the meeting:

You will have your choice of 3 different entrées and each is served with Garozzo's house salad, bread, and Spumoni ice cream for dessert.

Entrée :(Choice of one)
Chicken Spiedini Garozzo- All white chicken breast rolled and marinated in seasoned breadcrumbs. Served with olive oil, garlic, lemon, fresh basil with a side of pasta
Baked Lasagna- Pasta layered with Italian sausage, beef ricotta cheese and Maggie's Sugo topped with melted provolone cheese
Parmigiano Melanzane- Eggplant Parmigiano. Breaded eggplant, fried, topped with Maggie's sugo and melted fontina cheese

The menu for children under 10 includes a choice of:
Spaghetti, Lasagna, Ravioli, Cheese or Pepperoni Pizza, Fettuccine Alfredo, or Mozzarella Sticks.

This is an important meeting because we will be starting on the book project. "From Campofelice di Fitalia to Kansas City" will tell the stories of the immigrants from Campofelice that came to Kansas City. Tony Rustici will take a book and present it to the town for the museum when he visits in April. Each immigrant will get a 2-3 page layout. One page will be used for pictures and one for the history of the family. If more room is need than 2 pages we can extend it to 3. The book will be in color and you will be able to purchase a copy. We plan to arrange the book in alphabetical order by surname. We want to include all Campofelicesi in this book whether they are a member of our club or not. There is no cost to include your family in the book. You will need to provide pictures and your family story. Please bring your pictures to the meeting if you do not have computer access.
