July 8th marks the three year anniversary of Club Campofelice di Fitalia. This past year we have had a lot of fun. We hope our club continues to grow and we plan on having even more fun over the next year. There has been an outpouring of support from Campofelicesi around the world. It truly is amazing that the people from Campofelice di Fitalia have such a strong connection!
We need your continued support to keep our club going strong! Our club membership dues are due each year in July. Attached is a membership application. You do not need to fill it out unless your information has changed. The cost of our membership dues will remain the same as last year but, due to the increased cost of everything there will be a $5 charge for members for our meetings unless it is a potluck dinner. You can either mail your dues in or bring them to the meeting. For those of you who enjoy our gatherings but, do not have roots in Campofelice di Fitalia please join our club. All are welcome among the Campofelicesi!
Our book project has fallen to the wayside again but, we now have a deadline. All entries must be submitted by September 1st. "From Campofelice di Fitalia to Kansas City" will tell the stories of the immigrants from Campofelice that came to Kansas City. Marirose Seferovich will take a book and present it to the town for the museum when she visits at the end of September. Each immigrant will get a 2-3 page layout. One page will be used for pictures and one for the history of the family. If more room is needed than 2 pages we can extend it to 3. The book will be in color and you will be able to purchase a copy. We plan to arrange the book in alphabetical order by surname. We want to include all Campofelicesi in this book whether they are a member of our club or not.
Please spread the word to all of your family members. There is no cost to include your family in the book. You will need to provide pictures and your family story. Please bring your pictures to the meeting if you do not have computer access. If you have computer access you can e-mail your pictures and information to jhvalet@aol.com. Thanks to all of you that have already submitted your information. Please contact Jody @ (816) 680-0018 or jhvalet@aol.com if you have any questions.
We hope to see you all there!
